The Consultation

Paula of Do Your Own PR has given me inspiration and tools to carry out the next stage of my PR campaign. Her e-course was simple and easy to follow and kept me going and the consultation was extremely focused and has helped me to get all my thoughts out into a strategic plan. I felt that Paula really understood where I was coming from and helped to clarify the options available to me. I look forward to working with Paula in the future running workshops and events as Personal Branding and PR work really well together"

I believe that anyone who works with Paula Gardner will benefit immensely from the experience. I, myself, was impressed with her instant grasp of our core business and target market, not to mention her highly creative ideas for how to effectively and inexpensively promote our services.
The press release that Paula prepared read beautifully, so much so that I felt myself envying the business that it referred to, having to remind myself that she was describing, very factually, our Practice.
In short, Paula is an extremely talented lady who knows her stuff.

We were procrastinating about PR and marketing - basically we didn't really know where to start - so our consultation with Paula was just what we needed to kick-start things. She has forced us (gently but firmly!) to concentrate our thoughts and to prioritise our PR and marketing goals. Paula's approach is thoroughly practical and realistic, but with a nice dash of creativity to help things along. We particularly appreciated her fresh ideas and input with our press release.

My business was 2½ years old when I consulted Paula and, among other things, she helped me with a new name for the business and to focus on what really made my business special - crucial since as a headhunter, I offer very similar services to those of my competitors. That has informed my strategy for 2004 and I feel full of enthusiasm and renewed confidence! I found her approach very down-to-earth with loads of practical advice and a good value-for-money proposition.

Since we had our meeting I've got a better idea of where I'm going. I'm much more focused - already I've set up links with other sites, am planning the launch party and have been asked to be associated with a monthly club night which is perfect for my market. Overall I found the consultation really encouraging.

I was very unsure where to start with PR and marketing before my meeting with Paula. Although I’ve ran my own business for a while I wanted to reach a much larger audience and attract a wider variety of people and Paula has really showed me how to do this."
"I now have a strategy for promoting my business and feel in control and clear about what I’m doing. She gave me the confidence to think ‘big’ and to approach people, such as journalists, that I’ve been nervous about talking to in the past."
"The press release she wrote for me was great, very punchy and exciting and I feel that I’ve learned a lot about what is required from her input. It’s also got some journalists interested which is great news for my business."
"I also found the PR ecourse very useful and feel that I’ve learned a lot which will stand me well in the long term. I’ll certainly be recommending Paula and her courses to all my friends with small businesses.

Paula, thank you so much for all your help and support the past few months. Your input has been invaluable. As you are aware, I have major “time” issues and have therefore decided that it is time to finally hand over PR back to a “professional” but I would never have been able to get this far without your input. Thank you!

My previous PR strategy (such as it was) consisted solely of expensive adverts, which NEVER paid for themselves. Thanks to your excellent course, I have now abandoned this strategy completely and adopted a far more creative approach. It's cheaper, more fun and much more effective!"

Paula, your ecourse is excellent. You demystify the world of magazines, newspapers and broadcasting, and provide an easy to follow action plan that is sure to lead to successful results. Thank you!

The Do Your Own PR e-course is a brilliant in terms of both content and delivery. It’s delivered in a way that is easy to digest, understand and action and teaches you all you need to know to get yourself noticed by the right people at the right time. Brilliant!

..have to say how much I enjoyed the course. I did a PR & Marketing course several years ago and realise now how theoretical it was. The guidance and practical tips from Do Your Own PR have been fantastic and you've given me confidence in how to put them into action. Thanks, too, for all your advice specifically related to Glass for the Present. I have recommended you to a number of friends in business, so hope they make the most of the opportunity - a worthwhile investment, for sure!

I started off as a D- and by the end of the course I think I may have achieved at least a B+. Even my daughter commented how my writing had changed - for the better. The lessons were informative, mind-stretching, sometimes scary, and also great. Certainly made me reassess and really think. Paula was honest and helpful and if anyone ever wants to know when it is 3.02 pm just do the course - it is very worthwhile.

Previously my approach to PR was adhoc and I was in danger of missing great opportunties. Paula's course is truly brilliant - full of creative and practical tips on how I can use PR to work for me.

Your e-course was most informative and helpful and quite an insight to the PR world and I'll certainly be utilising that information very soon.

Paula's course is excellent value for money. Packed full of interesting tips and ideas as well as useful web-site links, it's much more than a writing course and has inspired me to give my business a complete overhaul. I will continue to refer back to it again and again, as I hone my skills. Each lesson is written in relaxed easy to understand way, and Paula's backup is excellent.

The Get Noticed Workbook
I received your excellent book this morning Paula and I've had a half hour flick & dip and it's brilliant. I shall read it right through this evening and then use it again & again I'm sure. It's a good PR Bible. Love the jacket design too.

I find your newsletters great. Really useful, informative, and inspiring. I look forward to them - even over the weekend!

Just a quick thread with a positive spin on PR. I know it always seems impossibly hard to get any kind of "free" publicity through PR (I felt this way also) but I signed up for Paula’s free weekly PR tips and within a week I had been signed up with Eve magazine - you can see the full three pages on me and Pebble in this months edition!!! So thanks Paula! I was astounded that it worked and the phone and email has been hot - not purely with leads but suppliers and best of all, other woman patting me on the back and asking advice. Good karma or what?!

I look forward to opening it because a) it has personality b) it’s informative and extremely useful with practical tips that really work and c) it’s not too long or too short and has the personal touch.
