How to Start Your PR Company
Before you start a PR Company it all sounds so easy – being your own boss, choosing who you want to work with, splashing out tax allowances on nice shiny gadgets (or is that just me?). Then things start to happen and all of a sudden it’s a whirlwind with no time to breathe, let alone find the staff you need to support you and move forward. Or, the opposite happens, and you’re sat there, spending hours browsing the internet every day, or desperately visiting every networking group that will have you, hoping madly that the phone will ring and it will be a client ready to take you on.
As PR Agency owner you will have to juggle many roles – sales, book keeper, manager, negotiator, creative ideas person, and sometimes even receptionist and cleaner. This is before you’ve even thought of your other life as spouse, partner, son, daughter, parent, friend, etc.
It's not easy. So, wouldn’t it be great to be part of a structured programme that helped you build a business to last, love and a business that doesn’t drain every single ounce of energy out of you at the end of the day? It could be a business to sell, or one that allows you to have three months of the year off travelling.
This is why I have created the How To Start A PR Company ecourse. In short, I’ve First hand Knowledge of:
* Deliberating whether to make the leap to self employed or not – and changing my mind every other day * Taking on my first clients without knowing how to put a decent contract together * Panicking about how I’m going to pay the mortgage or my staff because my clients are slow to pay me * Worrying that the coverage I’ve got for my client isn’t enough * Receiving 11pm calls from a client because they’ve just thought of something *The guilt that I’m neglecting my family, my friends..the other side of me * Black days when the press just aren’t interested * Taking on staff that just aren’t pulling their weight * And having to get rid of them * Learning by doing how to promote myself through the internet and social networking
Here are the steps we’ll cover
* Planning for your business to make it happen the way you want it to happen – and not to feel that you’re tossed around by fate, luck, circumstance and the budget of the next client who comes to call.
* Deciding what it is you want from your business – to stay small and create a fantastic lifestyle, or aim big and grow!
* How to price yourself and your services.
How to ensure you get paid.
*Dealing with exhaustion and fatigue.
* Addressing whether it would be better to take someone on full or part-time who can grown with the business, or using the services of associates and freelancers.
* Why marketing is probably more important than PR for the long-term success of your business.
And, throughout, you'll be able to call upon me with questions and problems that relate to your business.
"I would recommend the course for anyone thinking about setting up on their own or for those who have been self employed for a while, as it will certainly give you food for thought. Paula’s easy to read and interesting topics make you click on the attachment and hit print straight away - and leave you wanting the next segment as soon as poss! Okay, so what’s the cost for this programme to help me create and grow my perfect PR Company?
This four-week course is currently an investment of £99. Just think, if my course helps you to get just one client (and it will do so much more than that!) it will have paid for itself already.
