Before you start a PR Company it all sounds so easy – being your own boss, choosing who you want to work with, splashing out tax allowances on nice shiny gadgets (or is that just me?). Then things start to happen and all of a sudden it’s a whirlwind with no time to breathe, let alone find the staff you need to support you and move forward. Or, the opposite happens, and you’re sat there, spending hours browsing the internet every day, or desperately visiting every networking group that will have you, hoping madly that the phone will ring and it will be a client ready to take you on.


As PR Agency owner you will have to juggle many roles – sales, book keeper, manager, negotiator, creative ideas person, and sometimes even receptionist and cleaner. This is before you’ve even thought of your other life as spouse, partner, son, daughter, parent, friend, etc.

It's not easy.
