Who does Do Your Own PR work with? We work with smart, ambitious people who either run a business or are responsible for bringing in new business. And we show them how they can bring in this new business through doing their own PR and marketing. Who are your most successful clients? Our successful clients are people who not only listen to new ways of doing things, but, more importantly, are ready and willing to take action. We can give you a huge amount of knowldge, tips and ideas but it's putting those into action that will really make the difference in your business. Which method of training should I choose? Finance is one consideration - our PR ecourses are obviously the choice for anyone on a budget, but we also offer PR coaching and mentoring and consultations. Each of these tends to suit different clients. Coaching really boosts those businesses that appreciate ongoing support and ideas and enjoy the ability to brainstorm or just send over marketing material to be reviewed. Having a coach on your side also helps remove the feelings of isolation that solopreneurs can feel. Consultations are perfect for people that like to have everything at their fingertips so that they can get on with things straight away. How do you match me up with a coach? We'll ask you about your business and what you want to achieve and then pick who we consider to be the most appropriate coach for you. Why should I do my own PR? For most people who end up being their own PR it's not a matter of choice. However, there are huge plus points to doing your own publicity: It makes sense financially. You keep a strong hold over your promotions budget and can see exactly where you money goes, confident that it isn't on long lunches. You are the person who knows your business inside and out - who could do a better job than you in talking about it? You retain control over your company or personal image and where it is heading. I'm shy, how I can go out there and promote my business? If you know your subject well, we can help. Although you will have to overcome a certain amount of reserve, it does take into account the human factor and you learn to work with and use your strengths, rather than concentrating on your weaknesses. It's not going to change you into an "Ab Fab"Edina or a slick media spin-doctor, but I promise you that if you follow to advice in whatever course you choose, you will get results. Do I have to be able to write well? Being able to write does help tremendously. But you can always outsource your writing. I offer a Press release writing service and the ecourse covers in detail how to out a press release together. Alternatively, you could always just get out there and talk to journalists – something we all too often forget about. Any of my options will teach you how to put together a press release that will convey what you need to say simply and without fuss. Forget flowery language and hype. The journalists have seen it all before a million times. Keep it simple and succinct. What do I do next? If you're unsure and want to talk it over, call us on 0208 504 4557. |
